SKYVEIL HOUSE
Client:
Private
The arrangement of this good class bungalow in a triangular plot of land inverts the typical spatial typology of a landed home. By placing the main living and dining areas of the home on the second floor, these public spaces enjoy the view, mediated through filigree timber screens. Bedrooms on ground face lush gardens while enjoying privacy. Inspired by a bird-blind that allows bird watching while concealing the inhabitants, the filigree facade constructed using Accoya timber struts provides privacy from the street, and grants the house a lantern-like glow at night.
