A retail shop space designed for label Barehands at Orchard Road, Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Inspired by sinuous terrains and curved forms, hand-made textures and tiled surfaces cohere into a continuous retail experience. The unusually shaped plan is organised into three axes: clothing, bags and payment. These touchpoint are knit together into a continuous shopping experience through sinuous surfaces that focus on handcrafted materials: dappled surfaces rendered by hand and textured tiles. Ceramic wall lamps and pendants were crafted by the client's artisans, leaving imprints of handcrafted imperfection and beauty.
